Untuk mengembangkan bisnis perusahaan, PT Wijaya Karya Beton (WIKA Beton) bersama PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) dan PT Krakatau Engineering yang merupakan anak usaha PT Krakatau Steel Tbk (KRAS) membentuk perusahaan patungan (joint venture) bernama PT Wijaya Karya Krakatau Beton.

Pembentukan PT Wijaya Karya Krakatau Beton untuk memperbesar peluang pasarnya di bidang produk beton pracetak. Proyek ini didanai oleg grup Kratakau Steel, yang nantinya disepakati oleh manajemen perusahaan pendiri.

Sekretaris Perusahaan PT Wijaya Karya Beton, Puji Haryadi mengatakan, kerja sama pendirian perusahaan ini bertujuan untuk memproduksi, mengembangkan dan memasarkan produk tiang pancang dan produk saluran air terutama untuk menenuhi kebutuhan proyek-proyek pembangunan khususnya di area Cilegon.

"Perusahaan patungan ini berdomisili sekaligus akan membangun pabrik di salah satu lahan di Kawasan Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon di atas lahan seluas 3 hektar (ha). Kapasitas pabrik perusahaan patungan ini akan mampu memproduksi sekitar 41 ribu ton per tahun," ujar Puji dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Senin (16/12/2013).

Puji menjelaskan, perusahaan patungan ini didirikan dengan modal dasar sebesar Rp 175 miliar dan modal disetor sebesar Rp 50 miliar. Untuk komposisi saham yaitu PT Wijaya Karya Beton sebesar 60%, PT Krakatau Engineering sebesar 30% dan PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) sebesar 10%.

Adapun pembangunan pabrik diproyeksikan akan memakan waktu sekitar 9 bulan yang didahului dengan proses persiapan, engineering, pekerjaan civil, erection dan instalasi dan testing & commisioning hingga siap berproduksi.

"Pembangunan pabrik kita proyeksikan sembilan bulan lamanya, karena banyak proses yang akan dilalui, seperti persiapan, engineering, hingga sampai masa siap untuk berproduksi," tegasnya.

Seperti diketahui, PT Wijaya Karya Beton (WIKA Beton) bersama-sama PT Krakatau Engineering (KE) telah menandatangani Nota Kesepahaman pada 21 November 2013, dan dilanjutkan dengan penandatanganan perjanjian kerjasama usaha patungan oleh tiga perusahaan, dengan bergabungnya PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) pada 9 Desember 2013.
