Tapi, rencananya akan dijadikan hutan kota," kata Wali Kota Sukabumi Mohamad Muraz di Sukabumi, dilansir Antara, Minggu, 30 Oktober 2016.

Menurut dia, dijadikannya hutan kota ini mengacu pada Peraturan Daerah Kota Sukabumi tentang rencana tata ruang wilayah (RTRW), karena daerah ini masih kekurangan ruang terbuka hijau (RTH).

Dengan dijadikannya terminal lama menjadi hutan kota, warga diharapkan dapat memanfaatkannya sebagai tempat bersantai, rekreasi maupun istirahat pada saat ada waktu luang.

Selain itu, bekas terminal ini akan dibangun fasilitas lainnya. Namun, pemda harus mengubah dahulu Perda Kota Sukabumi tentang RTRW karena harus menyesuaikan dengan aturan jika ingin membangun di sekitar RTH.

"Untuk saat ini, kami masih berkonsentrasi terhadap pengoperasian Terminal Tpe A KH Ahmad Sanusi dan pembangunan trade center di kawasan terminal," kata dia.

Muraz berharap dengan telah dioperasikan terminal tersebut bisa mengurangi kasus kemacetan lalu lintas, khususnya di pusat Kota Sukabumi, dan juga bisa mendongkrak perekonomian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Under Construction Coming Soon
