Masih membahas kasus yang menyangkut penahanan dua dokter, dr. Dewa Ayu Sasiary Prawani SpOG, dr. Hendry Simanjuntak SpOG dan yang sedang dicari dr. Hendi Siagian SpOG. K. Para dokter kandungan menolak menyebut kasus ini malapraktik.

Menurut salah seorang spesialis kandungan dari Rumah Sakit Bunda, Jakarta dr. Sita Ayu Sp.OG, pembelaan yang dilakukan oleh dokter melalui aksi kemarin (27/11) memang harus dilakukan.

"Karena kami tidak membela dokter aborsi yang malapraktik. Ini adalah tindakan dengan niat menolang bayi lalu komplikasi dan ibunya meninggal. Kok dokternya dipenjara?," kata Sita, seperti ditulis Kamis (28/11/2013).

Sementara menurut Sita, bila bayi tidak diselamatka, ia atau ibu akan meninggal. "Nanti dokternya dipenjara juga dibilang pembiaran. Jadi dioperasi atau nggak tetap dipenjara karena ada yang meninggal salah satunya. Mending dokter nggak usah nanganin sekalian, apalagi dokter Ayu cs nggak dibayar".

Sita menilai, hubungan dokter dan pasien adalah kepercayaan. Pasien mempercayakan kesehatannya dan dokter akan mengobati sesuai keilmuannya. Ini hubungan tentang proses bukan hubungan perjanjian hasil.

"Mohon agar masyarakat lebih memahami malapraktik. Yang jelas salah kaprah adalah pembiaran iklan alternatif yang membodohi masyarakat. kalau puluhan juta ke alternatif mah diem, nggak ada yang nuntut. Giliran ke dokter ngomel-ngomel, bilang mahal," tuturnya.
