Atlet Rusia Kseniya Ryzhova dan Tatyana Firova, peraih medali emas estafet 4x400 meter di Kejuaraan Dunia Atletik di Moskow, sempat membuat heboh para penonton. Mereka merayakan kemenangan dengan berciuman di podium juara.

Aksi Ryzhova dan Firova itu, bisa ditafsirkan sebagai protes terhadap undang-undang anti-gay di negara mereka. Hukum yang begitu terkenal dipertahankan oleh Isinbayeba, atlet pelompat galah dalam seminggu terakhir. Namun, bisa saja itu hanya tradisi bagi gadis-gadis Rusia untuk mencium satu sama lain?

Ini bukan kali pertama protes terhadap Undang-Undang Antigay Rusia digelar di ajang kejuaraan dunia atletik.
